The Goodness of God

Hey Friends and Family,

It is always such a joy and honor to share what the Lord is teaching me with you all. It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost three months since I returned to the U.S., and about three months until I go to Mexico! Crazy, right?

My time in Ohio has been such a unique and beautiful season. It’s uncharted territory in many ways, but this adventure has been both stretching and exciting. I feel deeply encouraged. I’ve been in the process of raising funds for my upcoming move to Mexico, and the Lord has opened so many doors to meet with many of you and share my story and what’s next. I just want to say thank you.

First, thanks be to God. He is so good, so faithful, and so generous. I often think about this journey He has me on. It really is wild when you stop and think about it: a young girl moving to another country to tell people, in a language that isn’t her first, about the God of the universe! Yet, I’m so grateful that His plans for my life are far greater than anything I could ever imagine.

The harder the journey gets, the easier it is to see the goodness of the Lord. I’m amazed by His goodness every single day. I’m even grateful for my weaknesses, failures, fears, and story because they remind me that this journey isn’t about me. The more aware I become of my weakness, the more I see how strong God is. He’s not getting stronger; He has always been the strongest. He simply uses my weakness to bring glory to Himself, and it’s such a beautiful thing to be a part of.

I’m beyond grateful for the Lord’s creativity and His plans for my life. My prayer is that I never forget what a joy it is to follow Jesus and what an honor it is to choose surrender daily. I’m so thankful for the gospel, how it has changed my life, and that I now get to share it with others.

Secondly, I am so grateful for this season of fundraising. It has been such a gift to watch the Lord form my support team, people who are mutually committed to prayer, generosity, and pursuing the mission of Christ together. You all have been such an encouragement to me during this season of transition.

This past month at home has been both spiritually and physically refreshing. I’ve had time and space to rest with the Lord and spend sweet moments with friends and family. My precious niece, Mia, was born just a few weeks ago, and it has been such a gift to be present for that. I’m incredibly thankful for my family; they are my best friends and greatest support system.

The Lord is so good. That’s all. He is so, so good. Don’t forget it. I can see His goodness all around me.

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”— Psalm 27:13

What a JOY it is to follow Jesus!

Naomi
